The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for your help to solve a crime from nearly 20 years ago.

They say it's about the murder of John Holt, who was murdered June 25, 2000 in Gonzales County.

The husband and father was last seen arguing with his hired ranch hand, Miguel Angel Osorio-Munoz, who went by the name Cesar Alonso Osorio.

Witnesses said after the argument, Osorio-Munoz was seen fleeing the area.

Moments later, Holt was found dead from a gunshot wound.

Officials filed arrest warrant for the murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution but they have yet to find him.

Osorio-Munoz has not been seen since, but he's described as 5'5'' heavyset with brown hair and eyes, he would be 45 now.

If you have any information that could lead to his arrest, you can call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477). All tips are anonymous and could lead you to a $6,000 reward.

You can also submit information through the Texas Ranger cold case website or by contacting us at 1-800-346-3243 (DPS Missing Persons Hotline).
